Year 1 Remote Learning
With effect from April 2022, there is new national guidance for people who have symptoms of respiratory infections including COVID-19 and/or a positive test result - People with symptoms of a respiratory infection including COVID-19 - GOV.UK
Children and young people who are unwell and have a high temperature should stay at home and where possible avoid contact with other people. They can go back to education or childcare setting when they no longer have a high temperature and they are well enough.
The priority should always be for schools to deliver high-quality face-to-face education to all pupils. Remote education should only ever be considered as a short-term measure and as a last resort where in person attendance is not possible.
In these circumstances pupils should have access to remote education as soon as reasonably practicable, equivalent in length to the core teaching pupils would receive in school.
The learning time in a school day is between 3 ½ and 4 hours. When a child is learning at home with 1 to 1 support it may take less time to complete.
Teachers will continue to provide our established remote education plans half termly, together with any resources required to support the learning (please see links below).
Picture Assemblies will continue to be uploaded to the school website on a weekly basis.
During your child’s absence from school, a member of the year group team will be contact with you, via email or telephone, to discuss your child’s home learning.
If you have any questions or queries, please contact them by email:
Mrs Trimmer: Seahorse Class email@example.com
Mrs O'Bee: Dolphin Class firstname.lastname@example.org
