School Day
The school day is 8.45am (morning registration time) to 2.45pm (official end of the compulsory school day) and the total time this amounts to in a week is 30 hours.
Early-Morning Club 7.45 - 8.30am
Early-Morning Club is held in the Dining Room. Please click on the Early-Morning Club tab under 'Parents/Carers' for more information.
Classroom doors open 8.30am
Doors open early to allow children to be settled and prepared for the start of the school day at 8.45 am. Children should not arrive before 8.30 am unless they are attending Early-Morning Club.
Late arrivals, after 8.45 am, should report to the main school office. We monitor attendance closely and expect all children to attend school regularly and arrive punctually.
Morning break 10.15 to 10.30 am
During this time, children may eat a healthy snack from home.
Lunch break 12.00 to 12.45 pm
All children have lunch break at the same time. Reception children go to the dining hall a little earlier at the start of the year to help them adapt to school routines and give them a little longer to eat.
School day finishes 2.45 pm
We have a variety of after school clubs run by staff and outside coaches which take place at different times during the school year. These can be booked through Schoolgateway.
Puffins Club 2.45 - 5.30pm
After-School Care is held in the Main School building in Puffins Room. Please click on the After-School Care tab under 'Parents/Carers' for more information.
Assemblies
Monday 9.45 to 10.15 am - Whole school assembly led by Senior Leadership Team or guests (Reception and Year 1 join at various points in the year, as appropriate)
Tuesday 10.00 to 10.15 am - Teacher-led classroom based assembly (Reception and Year 1 timings are flexible)
Wednesday 10.00 to 10.15 am - Teacher-led classroom based assembly (Reception and Year 1 timings are flexible)
Thursday 10.00 to 10.15 am - Music assembly (Reception and Key Stage 1 timings are flexible)
Friday 10.00 to 10.15 am - Celebration Assembly (Reception join later in the year, as appropriate)
