Year 3 Remote Learning
Remote Learning Monday 25th - Friday 29th January 2021
The Department for Education (DfE) has made clear their expectation that pupils must continue to learn at home, and that schools should plan their remote learning to ensure that children continue to master the curriculum and make good progress. We have provided this work as it is our understanding that your child is well and therefore should continue to learn at home. This learning is for approximately 5 school days and will be followed with further learning packs until your child is able to return to school.
The learning time in a school day is between 4 ½ and 5 hours. When a child is learning at home with 1 to 1 support it may take less time to complete. Please click on the ‘all-on-one-sheet’ document below for this week’s timetable, and the activities your child should complete over the next five days.
Please note, all weblinks can be accessed from a mobile phone or tablet and do not require a PC or laptop. None of this learning needs any resources to be printed. All documents are in PDF form so you can view them from a phone or tablet. Children will need to copy down questions and answer them.
Your class teacher will be in contact with you three times per week, via email or telephone, to discuss your child’s home learning. At least once a week they will want to talk to your child directly about their learning.
If you have any questions or queries, please contact them by email:
Diamond Class firstname.lastname@example.org
Emerald Class email@example.com
Please note that the Year 3 resources include optional arithmetic, reading comprehension and English activities for children who have completed all the learning on the Remote Learning plan. Your child does not have to complete these activities, they have been provided for this year group in response to parental request. Thank you.

Your child's teacher has set up activities for them to do at home and they have been given a log in to access the website, click here to login.
Resources for PE & Active Break Sessions
Click here for a large selection of short (3-4 min) clips to choose from on the BBC teach website. Year 1, 2 & 3 use these in school as a warm up for PE and they love them!
Click here for the Joe Wicks fitness coach 30 minute workouts for children (including a warm up and cool down session). They are very easy to follow and can be done at home. Years 2-6 have used these sessions in school and find them very enjoyable..
Wanting something a little calmer? Try online yoga for children, with a variety of lessons to suit all ages.
Click here for a set of P.E challenges for children to complete if they are self-isolating. All activities have been designed so that they involve a minimal amount of equipment. Make sure you repeat activities to beat your scores!
